In an age of confusion of who a man is, Shaykh Dawud Walid’s work on Futuwwa provides brilliant insight and guidance for youth on what Islamic manhood means.
This class hopes to shed light on common problems Muslim youth face as minorities and how they can move beyond these problems into realizing themselves as true Muslim men (fata).
It touches on traits to refrain from and traits to strive towards, such as service and generosity.
Youth today grow up dealing with struggles their parents and elders didn’t face, and cannot always relate to. It is hence important that they are provided an opportunity to discuss these issues together with other young men.
We hope, through reading this short book, we are revitalized to look within ourselves and realize our true purpose as Muslim men.
This class will be in a book club format, all participants will read one chapter from the book and then the class will discuss the chapter together in the following class via google meet.
